How this was made

Colophon & credits

This website is itself part of the work: a record of a human and an AI building something together. This page names the people, the process and the tools, in keeping with the project's rule that the journey should always be visible.

Authorship

Photography and direction by Simon, under the artist name Damen Hartley. Research, archive and build work in collaboration with Claw, an AI partner.

Method

A cabinetmaker's process — inspiration, sketch, working drawing, make — applied to photography, research and collaboration. See the method room.

Technology

Hand-written HTML and CSS, a warm museum design system, and a timeline generated from a living working record. No tracking, no third-party clutter.

Sources

Research is evidence-led and cited. See the bibliography for named, dated sources behind the Sleaford work.

Status

Local prototype, not yet published

This is a visual-direction prototype only. No GitHub, Netlify, DNS, Adobe Portfolio or public publishing changes have been made. The public launch path — review, deploy preview, rollback plan, then domain — is itself recorded as the final stage of the journey.

Contact: a public contact route (a simple form) can be added once the site is deployed and reviewed. Until then, this remains a private working build.
